Creative Director & Photographer

Vision
Kamal, a new mom, wanted to preserve this special season of life in a natural, relaxed family photoshoot in Kamloops while her mother-in-law was visiting. The vision was simple and heartfelt — real moments, genuine connections, and an intergenerational story that felt warm, cozy, and timeless. Fall was the perfect backdrop to capture love, bonding, and everyday beauty without anything feeling posed or staged.

Challenges
Photographing children is always a mix of joy and unpredictability — fun, challenging, and beautifully real. This session included energetic little ones, one of them a special child with the most innocent and gentle soul. Creating a calm, comfortable space where everyone felt at ease was key. At the heart of the family was the grandmother — the strong trunk holding generations together — and capturing that quiet strength and love required patience, empathy, and presence.

Results
The final images reflected everything Kamal hoped for and more. What started as a basic family photography package turned into the purchase of the entire gallery, simply because the moments felt too meaningful to let go. The photographs now live proudly on their home walls and across social media, celebrating family, fall, and connection.

Sessions like this are why I love being a family photographer in Kamloops — witnessing real families, honoring their stories, and turning fleeting moments into lasting memories.
